Alps Mountaineering Lynx 1 Tent Review

The polyester fly will keep you snug and secure in almost any weather. The attached vestibule gives you room to stow any extra gear while you wait out the storm or sleep the night away. The shock-corded aluminum frame is strong, easy and fast to use because it connects to the tent with clips. All the main fly and floor seams are factory sealed so you can use it right out of the bag. The large vestibule is an essential feature of this tent. It allows you to store a large 65-liter pack in the vestibule while sleeping. It has three mesh stash pockets inside the tent, one is suspended above the head area and is removable as a gear loft. Another essential feature in this tent are the mesh walls. The two side walls and the back wall are mesh, as well as the doorway. Which allows for ventilation during those hot summer days.

Rain Fly, Zippers and Poles

The rain fly is great, very durable and quality sealed. It buckles to each corner and has adjustable tension straps for quick setup, removal, and adjustment of the rain fly. The zipper is good, smooth and quiet. The poles are made of sturdy aluminum with a nice color to them, and the tent is very fast and easy to set up and takedown. The instructions are attached to the inside of the carrying bag for easy setup.
